After the first German version of the "Bitcoin Diploma" was published by Aprycot Media as a free PDF file in August 2023, which even reached the Bundestag in printed form, the publisher has now released the second version of the textbook by the non-profit organization Mi Primer Bitcoin.

The book was translated (Stefan Gerber), proofread (Thomas Geier) and designed (Bitboxer) by Aprycot volunteers and contains new and revised explanations, many additional sources and a glossary compared to the first version. The new version is available as a free download in the Aprycot media library and may be used freely - both for self-study and for teaching.

From El Salvador to the world

Mi Primer Bitcoin published the financial education textbook on Bitcoin in 2022 to introduce the citizens of El Salvador to Bitcoin, the new legal tender introduced in the country a year earlier. The second version was published in English in March 2023. The book comprises ten chapters that provide the necessary knowledge and practice around Bitcoin and prepare course participants for the final exam of the "Bitcoin Diploma".

The Blocktrainer.de team has already been able to accompany the awarding of such a Bitcoin diploma itself.

Thanks to the commitment of numerous volunteers, the open source project also reached other countries. Bitcoin Diploma courses have also produced many graduates outside El Salvador, for example in other countries in Central America, South America and Africa.

A third version of the textbook is currently available in English and Spanish. The German translation is already being planned.

While the Bitcoin Diploma is aimed at children aged 13 and over as well as adults, Mi Primer Bitcoin is also planning a textbook for younger children as part of an educational campaign together with Little HODLer creator Lina Seiche, so that different age groups can be covered - Blocktrainer.de reported .

It is truly a valuable project for Bitcoin education - not only in El Salvador, but worldwide. Many thanks to everyone involved!
